June Dinner Meeting

Cognitive Biases and Human Resource Management

The Arabian Society for Human Resource Management is pleased to invite you to its June Dinner Meeting for a presentation on “Cognitive Biases and Human Resource Management” by Dr. Asghar Zardkoohi.

The presentation will address the human resource management implications of:

  1. Endowment and status quo bias,
  2. Perception of information bias,
  3. Overconfidence bias, and
  4. Framing effect bias.

Dr. Asghar Zardkoohi

Dr. Zardkoohi is the T.J. Barlow professor business administration in the Department of Management at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Dr. Zardkoohi is a regular guest professor at EDHEC, a business school in Lille/Nice, France and a research fellow at Texas A&M University's Private Enterprise Research Center. He has also received research grants from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the American Banking Association, AT&T, and the Small Business Administration; and been the recipient of the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University Distinguished Teaching Award, Research Award, and the MBA Program Best Teacher Award.

Dr. Zardkoohi's research has appeared in a variety of academic journals including American Economic Review; Journal of Finance; Journal of Law and Economics; Northwestern Law Review to name a few.
